This is for my desi friends. It is a common thing to call people 'mental' in the UK. But in India there are even more rude sounding words, all meaning the same - Mental :)

Mumbai - Tedhi Khopdi, Hila hua, psycho

Gujarat - Gandaa (d as in donkey)

Hyderabad - howla

Mumbai - Wakda

All over India - sala pagal
